Mary Craig was born in East Lothian and is now based in Berwickshire in the Scottish Borders. She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1973.. Mary lived in South London for 30 years where she raised a family and worked for the NHS. She continued to paint when time allowed but since retiring, now dedicates her time to painting.
Mary uses a combination of a combination of acrylic paint, acrylic inks, watercolours and coloured pencils/graphite, charcoal and pastels, usually on gessoes stretched paper or gessoes board to create her work.
